Abigail Elizabeth Thompson, known to her friends as Abby, is a 5th year Ravenclaw at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Appearance[]
Abby is thin and slightly taller than average (165 cm/5'5"). She has slightly wavy brown hair that she trims just below her shoulders. She has brown eyes. Abby tries to look fairly good at all times, but doesn't take as much time perfecting her appearance as others. As long as she doesn't look awful, she doesn't really care.
Personality[]
Abby is trusting and friendly, with an almost child-like curiosity. She loves to make friends, although she is not generally one to begin conversations with someone she doesn't know. Despite her kindness, though, she is still a bit socially awkward, sometimes not knowing what to say or how to respond to someone. She is most comfortable in situations where she is close with the people she is with, as she feels she can tell them anything without embarrassing herself. Abby also cares deeply about other peoples' feelings and tries to be as considerate as possible to everyone, often second-guessing herself in order to refrain from saying something that could be misinterpreted.
As a Ravenclaw, Abby loves to learn and believes that she can solve any problem or perform at any standard with the right amount of work. That being said, she only puts her full effort into the classes she cares about, while performing mediocrely in those subjects that disinterest her. Abby wants to know how and why things work, and for this reason wants to become a spell theorist when she grows up.
Backstory[]
Abby was born on April 7th as the first child of Isabella Williams and Timothy Thompson, two half-bloods who met at Hogwarts. From the moment she could walk, she would emulate her half-blood parents doing magic, waving around sticks and making up charms in futile efforts to bring her toys to life or create a pony. As she got older, Abby developed an interest in the how and why of magic, reading books about spell invention and charms theory. She grew up in London, getting used to the hustle and bustle of the city and learning how to deal with crowds, strangers, and getting lost. When she was 5, her younger brother, Samuel, was born.
Abby attended Hogwarts from age 11, studying especially hard in Charms, Transfiguration, and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Her goal is to become a spell theorist and study how magic works.
